This unforgettable tour will include an orientation hike up Mtsongolo Mountain, volunteering works where tasks are geared towards the needs and requirements of the school. There is building work, maintenance of the school buildings, painting and repairing blackboards, and an opportunity to interact with the students on the sports and organise the school library for those that have the skills to do this. Then depart Dzalanyama and head to the Lake of Stars Festival.

Lilongwe International Airport
The bus departs the Mangochi mid morning to arrive in Lilongwe mid afternoon
Day 1-Lilongwe KGL Gold R- Arrive in Lilongwe and you will be transferred from the airport to your overnight accommodation. Depending on your arrival time, you will be taken around town for an orientation induction. In the late afternoon, you will meet the volunteer co-ordinator and your next days programme will be discussed. Here you stay in basic en suite rooms inclusive breakfast. Dinner this evening on your own account.
Day 2-Dzalanyama -After breakfast we pick up project supplies in Lilongwe and then transfer to Dzalanyama Forest. Overnight Lodge with all meals included.
Day 3- Dzalanyama- Today we do an orientation hike up Mtsongolo Mounatin, returning to the lodge early afternoon. Overnight Lodge inclusive all meals.
Day 4- Today your volunteering works starts - we gather at the school and then divide into groups according to personal ability and skills - Tasks are geared towards the needs and requirements of the school, however it must be understood that needs of the project must come before individual choices can be accommodated. There is building work, maintenance of the school buildings, painting and repairing blackboards, and there is an opportunity to interact with the students on the sports field after lessons - There is a need to catalogue books and organise the school library for those that have the skills to do this.
Day 5- Project work - overnight Lodge - All meals included

Day 7- Project work - overnight Lodge - All meals included
Day 8 -Depart Dzalanyama and then continue to collect the other volunteers at Kuti and head to the lake of stars festival. Overnight Camping near the festival site.
Day 9- At festival - we only provide tents and matrasses - meals and entertainment at your own cost
Day 10- At festival - we only provide tents and matrasses - meals and entertainment at your own cost
Day 11- The bus departs the site mid morning to arrive in Lilongwe mid afternoon - Add on game viewing safaris will be offered post festival
Take along with you a hat, sun lotion, a bottle of water and a camera preferably with a long lens for those classic shots!
