From Blantyre City Centre drive as if going to Sunbird Mount Soche Hotel, then turn left on to Victoria Avenue. Follow the road until you come to the traffic lights, carry on straight, and cross the bridge. After the bridge take the second turning on the right. Keep on this road which will take you into the Chikwawa area (drive slowly as this is a very windy pass). After you cross the Shire River, look for the right turn signposted Majete Wildlife Reserve, after the BP filling station. Pass through Chikwawa town and turn left when you reach the dirt road, signposted: ”Majete 17 km”. After 17 km, you will reach the main entrance to Majete Wildlife Reserve.
From the main gate, follow the road to the right of the visitors centre. You will reach a T-Junction, turn right here towards the dam. You will then pass a boundary fence on your right and reach another signposted T-junction. Turn left on to Mkulumadzi Road. Travel along Mkulumadzi Road for approximately 10 km until the road forks at the Mkulumadzi Road signpost. Turn right here and park in the designated area.
