Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:

Mkulumadzi is owned by Robin Pope Safaris (RPS) - Pioneers in the field of Responsible Travel.

Local Employment: RPS has employed local staff for Pumulani who have received full training prior to the lodge opening.

Education: RPS supports many education programs, particularly in Zambia. They have also built a village school.

Ecotourism: RPS manages Kawaza Village ecotourism project in Zambia and organises community tours outside Majete Game Reserve.

Cultural Experiences: They conduct tours to nearby village and community centres for guest to have an insight into local culture as well to share experiences with people living alongside the reserve.
